Our Range Explained:

Display Neon

Ideal for temporary installations such as seasonal display lighting or audio-visual events, the Display range is made using high quality PVC and offers a fully diffused light output for non-spotting, ambient illumination. Using heat shrink tubing and a silicone glue, the Display neon series can achieve an IP65 rating subject to correct installation and can therefore be used in indoor projects where some light exposure to water or steam may occur. Display neon comes with a 1 year guarantee on indoor installations only and is available in Standard, Mini, Side View and 360 rope varieties. Shop Display Neon here.

Please note that our Display Neon range requires an additional accessories pack kit which includes everything you need to install it correctly – shop accessory packs here.

Professional Neon

Made using injection moulded silicone, the Professional range from Tagra is the most malleable flex yet. Compared with traditional neon tubes or PVC neon, the silicone material offers greater flexibility with a bend radius of just 30mm on the Micro series. It’s durable IP65 body and fully diffused, high quality light output is ideal for professional installations both indoors and outdoors where light exposure to water may occur. The professional range is also resistant to saline solutions, acids & alkali, corrosive gases and UV and comes with a 3-year guarantee as standard, giving you peace of mind. Available in custom lengths up to 5000mm or as a handy 10m kit which includes everything you’ll need to install it.

Our professional neon is available in all colours in 3 sizes: Micro 4x10mm, Midi 13x12mm, and Maxi 12x17mm. Shop Professional neon here.

Architectural Neon

If you’re looking for durability, the Architectural range is the flex for you. With a level of versatility unparalleled on the market, our Professional Architectural Neon is UL, TUV, CE & RoHs compliant and tested to rigorous mechanical and photometric standards, ideal for architects, largescale projects and permanent installations. Age tested against chlorine, salt and solvents and flame resistant, the Architectural range is complete with a 5-year indoor and outdoor guarantee as standard. Fully encapsulated, it holds an IP67 ingress rating thanks to injection moulded connections and can achieve an IP68 rating if required. Ideal for use in facades, yachts, stadiums and more. RAL colour matching is also available upon request.

The Architectural range is available in Pro 10x10mm and Pro Plus 16x17mm dimensions. The Pro Architectural series is available in side view only, for achieving vertical bends. The Pro Plus series is available in both top view and side view options. Learn more about our Architectural Neon here.

Neon Tubes

For installations where flexibility isn’t required, our LED Neon tubes are a great alternative. Fully dimmable and featuring up to 360 degree, non-spotting illumination they’re perfect for creating a stunning ambient light display in both commercial and retail environments. Designed to either be suspended using their pre attached cable or surface mounted using mounting brackets. Available in standard 1m, 1.5m and 2m sizes or in custom lengths up to 2m. Things to Consider When Buying LED Neon Flex

Side View or Top View

Most Neon Flex can only bend on one plane, i.e. horizontally or vertically. Side view neon flex emits light out of the side of the neon and is therefore used for achieving vertical bends. Top view is used for achieving horizontal bends. Neon rope light can bend in any direction and offers 360-degree illumination, making it able to achieve bends in any direction. Be sure to check which bend direction you require for your installation.

Bend Radius

The bend radius of neon flex refers to the minimum radius you can bend it to before damage occurs. PVC typically has lesser bending capabilities than silicone Flex due to the slightly more rigid material. Typically, the smaller the flex the smaller the bends it can create. With this in mind, our micro and mini Flex lends itself best to use in sign writing and other applications where intricate shapes need to be achieved.

Flat or Domed

Most of our neon flex is finished with a flat light plane, meaning the profile of the flex is square or rectangular. Some of our neon including our Display neon is finished with a domed light plane for a lightly wider beam angle.

Silicone or PVC

As well as typically being more flexible than it’s PVC equivalent, Silicone Neon Flex usually has a higher IP rating too. Because it is injection moulded, silicon Flex is better sealed from dust and water, making it more durable and suitable for use outdoors.

Mounting

Neon flex can be mounted to your desired surface in a variety of ways including mounting brackets, 5cm tracks, full profiles and bendable track. It can also be recessed into walls.

What driver?

Some of our Flex such as our Professional Micro Neon Flex is sold as a kit with a compatible driver included, and many of our product pages feature a compatible driver which you can buy separately. For more information on drivers read our Buyer’s Guide here.
