Our recommended Pitch for Diffusion measurements are calculated using Tagra Poly Carbonate, Semi-Clear Diffusers, at all brightness/dimming levels in order to produce a non-spotting light output. Please note where we do not offer a Semi-Clear diffuser, Opal has been used. Using alternative diffusers may have different results.

Plaster-in LED aluminium profiles are designed to be seamlessly integrated into plasterboard (drywall) surfaces. Once installed and the plasterwork is completed, only the light output from the LED strip is visible, with the profile itself being completely hidden.

This provides a sleek and minimalist lighting effect, free from visible wires, connectors, or the actual LED profile.

Hints and tips:

Diffusers

Diffusers will affect the brightness and CCT (colour temperature) of an LED tape when housed in a LED channel or profile. The separately sold semi clear diffuser means 70-75% of the brightness of the installed LED strip light will shine through.

As well as the brightness, diffusers will also alter the kelvin temperature of the installed LED strip light by approximately 10%. Opal diffusers will make the kelvin temperature/CCT appear warmer, semi clear diffusers will make the Kelvin Temperature/CCT appear cooler and transparent diffusers will have no effect.

As an example, a 6000K 1000 lumen per metre LED strip light installed inside a metre length of LED channel using an opal diffuser would create a light bar with an overall output of approximately 5600K and 450 to 500 lumens.

Non-spotting finish

To achieve a highly desired non spotting finish, consider using this profile with an LED tape of more than 120 LEDs per metre or a COB LED strip light. As a rule of thumb, the more LEDs per metre on your chosen strip light, the less chance there will be of a spotting/dotting effect.

This profile is made from fully anodized aluminium and is corrosion proof; meaning it's ideal for using indoors in dry environments and in damp environments such as bathrooms when installed using a suitably IP-rated LED strip light.
