Ultra LEDs supplied a complete RGB LED lighting package for Boom Battle Bar’s Cambridge venue, working in collaboration with Thronmoor Services Limited to deliver a tailored solution across the site.
Opened in December 2024, the venue required a multi-zone lighting scheme to enhance its gaming areas, ceiling features, and branded signage.
Ultra LEDs manufactured and supplied over 400 metres of RGB LED strip lighting in more than 100 bespoke lengths. The system also included 30mm suspended aluminium profiles, opal diffusers for uniform light output, and DMX-compatible decoders to enable controlled, synchronised zones.
Each strip was supplied to specification, pre-cut and labelled to match its installation zone. This helped reduce installation time and avoid unnecessary joins.
The RGB tape was installed within 30mm suspended aluminium profiles, paired with opal diffusers for a clean, low-glare finish. DMX-compatible decoders enabled full-zone control, allowing individual areas to run separate colour scenes, dimming levels, or synchronised effects depending on the environment.
The result is a flexible lighting system supporting colour-rich output across all key zones, from activity areas to ceilings and signage.
Thronmoor Services Limited are commercial electrical contractors specialising in full fitouts across hospitality, leisure, and entertainment venues.
Their expertise includes integrated lighting, AV, DMX control, CCTV, data cabling, and fire systems. For this project, they delivered the complete electrical installation, integrating Ultra LEDs’ RGB system with the venue’s wider infrastructure
