Cuppello’s Coffee & Juice, a coffee house in Wilmslow, Cheshire, underwent a full interior refurbishment covering the bar display, counters, wall detailing, and cabinetry throughout the café.
Hafferty Interiors delivered the complete fit-out, producing the bespoke shelving, feature bar displays, integrated cabinetry, and oak detailing used throughout the space.
As part of the design, the café required integrated lighting within the bar counter joinery, cabinetry, shelving, and undercounter sections, highlighting the display areas without disrupting the clean finish of the joinery.
Hafferty Interiors delivered the complete refurbishment, producing the bespoke shelving, feature bar displays, integrated cabinetry, and oak wall detailing throughout the café interior.
As part of the design, the lighting needed to sit directly within the joinery itself, highlighting the shelving without disrupting the clean finish of the cabinetry.
To achieve this, Hafferty Interiors selected Ultra LEDs’ 3x6mm Micro 3 LED Neon Flex. Its compact profile allowed the lighting to be routed directly into the shelving, creating continuous lines of illumination without visible LED dots or bulky profiles.
Combined with the darker oak finishes and exposed industrial ceiling, the lighting adds depth to the shelving while supporting the warmer material palette used throughout the café.
The lighting installation focused primarily on the shelving and display sections positioned behind the main bar area.
Micro 3 LED Neon Flex was recessed directly into routed grooves within the timber joinery, allowing the illumination to sit flush within the cabinetry rather than being surface mounted onto it.
This approach maintained clean shelving lines throughout the installation while creating a continuous line of light across each section of the display.
The smaller 3x6mm format also allowed the lighting to integrate into tighter joinery details where larger Neon Flex profiles would not have been suitable.
The project required a lighting solution suitable for shallow routed sections and detailed joinery applications.
