Golf Fang Nottingham, an immersive indoor mini golf venue by Big Fang Collective, required a multi-colour lighting upgrade to support its themed holes, scenic set builds, and venue-wide feature lighting.
Working with MEC Technical, Ultra LEDs supplied over 200 metres of Digital Pixel COB LED Strip Light for the project.
To bring Golf Fang Nottingham’s vision to life, over 200 metres of Tagra IP20 24V Digital Pixel COB LED Strip Light were supplied by Ultra LEDs.
This advanced LED tape, featuring 840 LEDs per metre and 10 pixels per metre, was selected for its ability to deliver seamless, animated lighting effects across multiple zones.
The product’s high pixel density and RGB+W configuration enabled precise control over colour and movement, essential for creating dynamic atmospheres within the venue’s themed environments.
Key applications included a fully illuminated bar, a striking petrol station lightbox feature, and pixel lighting woven throughout several themed spaces. The flexibility and slim profile of the Pixel COB LED Strip allowed for discreet integration into scenic elements, while the 16.0W per metre output ensured vibrant, consistent illumination.
Installation and programming were expertly handled by MEC Technical, whose attention to detail ensured that every lighting effect enhanced the venue’s immersive storytelling.
The Tagra Pixel COB LED Strip Light’s digital addressability enabled custom animations and colour transitions, perfectly suited to Golf Fang’s need for engaging, ever-changing visual effects. The high LED count delivered smooth, dot-free illumination, crucial for both close-up scenic features and large-scale installations.
