Lighting 211 hotel rooms and an entire hotel lobby is no small task.
At the Marriott Hotel in London, the project required a complete lighting solution that delivered a consistent finish throughout every guest room while integrating seamlessly into the hotel's main reception area.
Ultra LEDs supplied Horizontal Bend Neon Flex alongside Tagra Connect (formerly Syndeo) to Stranders Electrical, who delivered the lighting installation across all 211 guest rooms and the hotel's main lobby.
Each guest room was fitted with Tagra Connect 12V 9.6W LED Tape with 120 LEDs per metre, previously supplied under the Syndeo name, in pre-cut one-metre lengths to suit the room layout. The chosen light output created a comfortable, consistent level of illumination throughout each space.
Multi-Port 12V Tagra Connect drivers supported multiple lighting runs from a single unit, reducing hardware requirements and simplifying the wiring process.
Each kit also included PIR motion sensors, providing automatic lighting control while helping reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
Within the main lobby, Horizontal Bend LED Neon Flex was recessed into ceiling details to create continuous lines of light. Its flexible profile followed the building's curved architectural features, creating a clean, seamless finish without visible joins or hotspots.
In a hotel environment, every guest room needs to deliver the same look and lighting performance.
To achieve this, each room received a pre-cut Tagra Connect kit (formerly Syndeo) matched to its layout. This allowed Stranders Electrical to repeat the same installation method throughout all 211 rooms, simplifying installation while maintaining a consistent finish from room to room.
This repeatable approach is particularly valuable on large hospitality projects, where reliability and consistency are just as important as the final appearance.
