London’s Annual Design Festival
Since 2003, the London Design Festival has presented installations, exhibitions, and events across the city’s museums, design districts, and cultural venues. It offers a platform for established and emerging designers to showcase new ideas, materials, and applications to a global audience.
The Conran Shop Installation
Curated by It’s Nice That, the installation invited six digital artists to reinterpret classic designs from The Conran Shop’s AW22 collection. Each artist used a specific product as the basis for a new digital creation, drawing on its materials, design era, and original purpose.
The entrance featured a blacked-out environment with large-scale screens displaying the virtual designs alongside the physical pieces that inspired them. Mirrored panels and geometric frames reflected both the installation and visitors, creating repeated visual layers and extending sightlines.
